Module: Window watch – free with your account
A small, useful module: a signed pack with code that NeonPlan loads and runs in your house. It watches, warns and answers:
- If a window is open or tilted for more than 20 minutes while it is cold outside (below 12 °C), the room pulses and the warning bar says e.g. “Window in the kitchen open for 25 min – 8 °C outside”.
- If the room’s heating is running (thermostat heating), 10 minutes are enough: “Heating on with a window open: window in the bathroom (12 min)”.
- Ask “Which windows have been open too long?” – with the microphone or through Assist – and it answers and flies to the windows.
No settings, no AI, nothing leaves the house. All it needs are windows with contact sensors in your plan and a weather entity.
Free for every customer account – no purchase needed. With your licence key the module waits in NeonPlan under Extensions. No account yet? Create one for free, confirm your e-mail, enter the key in NeonPlan.
Approve once: Then open Extensions → Modules in NeonPlan and tap View code & approve. Every update is approved there once as well.
New in release 3 – quiet switch: create a helper (toggle) input_boolean.window_watch_quiet in Home Assistant, and the window watch does not warn while it is on – an automation can turn it on at night or when the blinds are down. Without the helper nothing changes. After the update, tap View update & approve once under Extensions → Modules in NeonPlan.
New in release 2: “Heating on with a window open” now detects heating reliably: thermostats without a heating state only count as heating when their target temperature is above the room temperature (a thermostat set to 5 °C in a 19 °C room does not heat), and a radiator with its own heating sensor (“Heating (sensor)” on the radiator item) decides first. After the update, tap View update & approve once under Extensions → Modules in NeonPlan.
Requirements
- NeonPlan 3D 1.22.0 or newer (free via HACS)
- A free customer account with licence key
Kostenlos anlegen, E-Mail bestätigen, Schlüssel in NeonPlan eintragen.
